Our goal is to perform the work right the first time. Our experience with the Mycometer®-test as the final clearance methodology for HVAC systems and mold remediation projects has been excellent. This sampling method provides for a thorough on-site analysis of remediated surfaces. One of the benefits is the quick analysis turnaround time during the work shift. This allows for increased quality control and minimizes any time spent on recleaning an area. Our goal is to perform the work right the first time. This sampling method documents the diligent efforts of our technicians and provides them with a 'Well done' on the same day the work is performed.

We recently performed remediation activities on contaminated ductwork for fifty two roof top air handling units ranging in size from two tons to twenty tons five tons. This engagement was for a very discriminating customer who had performed a significant amount of up front investigation and due diligence prior to issuing specifications and performance criteria, including our use of the Mycometer for categorization of contaminated conditions and remediation clearence testing. This was predominantly a health based approach with a high degree of concern for occupant awareness and satisfaction. All related information, progress and results were shared with the occupants throughout the remedial process.
The ability of our Chief Medical Officer to adress the mold conditions in the ductwork in a quantifiable manner using the Mycometer Mold Detection Method coupled with your published litterature gave our customer comfort. Additionally, the fact that we could ascertain the Mycometer results on-site enabled our cstomer to quickly monitor our progress and keep the occupants apprised of the progress. These capabilities gave us a two-fold competitive advantage on this project.
From the field operations perspective, becausen of the Mycometer training and certification program conducted by Dr. Lauren Ball with our staff, the customer was secure in our quality control process. Additionally, the ability for the customer to be able to rely on our clearence testing results reduced their on-site manpower requirements and associated costs. Most importantly, The Mycometer Mold Detection Method enabled the customer to feel secure in the remediation methodology, and with less than a one hour turn around for test results, Building Health Sciences was able to accomodate their very aggressive schedule with fewer crews, as productivity was essentially uninterrupted by the clearence testing procedure.
We wanted to share withyou the field based, production oriented benefits we were able to achieve with the Mycometer in a situation with a sensitive customer and restricted hours during which to perform our remedial activities.
