Multiple uses
The Mycometer®-test was developed in collaboration with building inspection and mold specialists. The field portable Mycometer®-test system allows you to analyze up to 20 samples on-site in an hour. It can be used from the initial diagnostic phases of a mold remediation project, all the way through to the final stages of clearance testing. The test system allows analysis of surface, air and bulk samples providing the mold specialist with the most versatile mold detection system available today. The multiple uses of the Mycometer®-test in a typical remediation project are outlined:
Diagnostics – for detection of mold growth. Mold growth is not always visible to the naked eye. Allows differentiation between staining from fungal and non-fungal sources.
Delineation – for determining the extent and severity of fungal contamination in surfaces-, air- and bulk-samples. These sample results can then be used to define the scope of work for mold remediation projects.

Objective and fair
Success criteria for cleaning of surfaces are the same for all contractors. The results obtained with the Mycometer®-test is to a large extent independent of individual judgment and subjectivity. All instruments are normalized against standard units ensuring a very low inter-instrument variation.
All personnel performing the Mycometer®-test has to be certified ensuring proficiency in performing the analysis.
